In line with the celebration of the EDSA People Power Revolution, Attorney Lorenzo 'Larry' Gadon of the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan spearheads the petition to erase the face of the Aquinos from the current 500 Philippine Peso bill. According to the lawyer, the late Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. (Ninoy) did not become a president and was never officially declared as a hero.
Be it known that Attorney Gadon initially raised a petition of changing the name of Ninoy Aquino International Airpot back to its original name which was Manila International Airport. Most oldies will still recall that the Manila International Airport was renamed through Republic Act No. 6639 which was enacted on November 27, 1987 without executive approval.
